Formed in 2010 by Kelso chef and publican Gavin Meikeljohn, TEMPEST Brewing Co. are serious local heroes. They have grown from home brewing and small scale production, to a self built brewery, to a bigger and better proggresive new brewhouse with big plans ahead. These are small batch beers with big fresh flavours.

On sale in our DELI - fresh, unprocessed, seasonal beer

Not only can you buy these exceptional artisan beers from The Mainstreet Deli, but a short drive to the brewery tap is the best place to try TEMPEST on draft. The Cobbles - Free House and Dining in Kelso has won numerous well deserved awards including the CAMRA 2013 Overall Pub of the Year Scotland and Northern Island and 2014 Regional Pub of the Year Edinburgh Lothians and Borders.

"We are not influenced by the latest industry trends, we simply brew beers that we like to drink packaging our flavour forward products in cask keg and bottle."

Gavin and his team believe in fresh brewing with big seasonal flavours. The first brown bottle, New Zealand inspired 'Long White Cloud', is still in production and is at the heart of the TEMPEST collection - it's damn good too! Bright fruity saisons and dark spicy porters with names like 'Marmalade on Toast', and 'In The Dark We Live' promise to be something special - and do not disappoint.

Seriously good winter warmers!
Make sure to stop by and see whats currently on our shelves, craft beer super fans Shaun and Bill are on hand to give you some inspiration!
